SIRIUS XM Radio to Launch Weekly Wine Show

SIRIUS XM Radio will offer Wine & Web with Gary Vaynerchuk, a live, two-hour weekly call-in show. Vaynerchuk is a wine expert, social media maven and author.

"Gary's unconventional commentary on wine has earned him a cult-like following and numerous fans, self-named 'Vayniacs.' Using humorous expressions like 'sniffy-sniff' and 'The Oakmonster,' he encourages straightforward wine tasting and debunks wine myths," according to a SIRIUS XM news release.

Wine & Web will launch Thursday, August 26 from 10:00 pm - midnight ET on SIRIUS channel 108 and XM channel 139 Thursday.

Evans is now heard 2:00 - 7:00 pm weekdays. He originally joined Country 108 in 1989 and stayed with the station for 19 years, making his show the longest-running show in Phoenix radio.

At Evans' blog at the station website he wrote: "...We're back together again!...When we last rode home 'grabbin' a hump' in the afternoon, I never had a chance to say 'goodbye'. Hey, radio's crazy that way. BUT, this is an excellent opportunity to say 'hello!' and to tell you how I've missed you..."

Through a press release Operations Manager, Jeff Garrison, said: "It's a really great day for country music fans in Phoenix and for KMLE Country 108..."

No Charges for Morning Radio Show That Burned Van But…

Authorities and WFLZ/Tampa have agreed to the punishment for an incident that occurred last December when some employees set a van on fire as part of a radio stunt.

"A van caught fire in the parking lot of WFLZ radio when 93.3 radio host Dominick Siciliano -- better known as 'Fester' -- was trying to fry a turkey inside the vehicle as part of a stunt on the MJ Morning Show," according to myfoxtampabay.com.

The station was ill-prepared for the fire and one firefighter was injured. No charges will be sought if Todd Schnitt (M.J.), Siciliano and Thomas Charles Ray complete a list of community service requirements and a combined contribution of $15,000 to burn victim charities.
