D.C. Radio Icon Donnie Simpson to Exit WPGC-FM

Longtime Washington, D.C. radio personality, Donnie Simpson, will reportedly do his last show on WPGC-FM this Friday, January 29. (Screenshot: www.wpgc.com)

"Due to declining ratings, and "internal friction between Simpson and WPGC's management," Simpson decided to break his contract and separate himself from the WPGC," according to Mike Andrews in the Baltimore Hip-Hop Music Examiner.

Simpson was the first urban-formatted radio personality to earn over 1 Million dollars-a-year without being syndicated.
