Public Radio Player Offers New Version, Improvements

The Public Radio Player has evolved into version 2.1 with some improvements and additions. The iPhone app offers nearly 500 live station streams and 1,000 on-demand programs. (Screenshot: www.prx.org)

The code has been rewritten so the app runs faster. It now also offers a sleep timer, wake-up alarm and a favorites option.

The on-demand player has been tweaked and Safari has been integrated so users can surf station websites from within the Public Radio Player.
